Our client who is an enterprise solutions provider serving the fortune 1000 is looking for a Dev/Sec/Ops // Security Engineer with an expertise in cloud computing and containerization.
Hybrid in NY area, or Fully Remote (NORTHEAST)
Base – $160-$190K + bonus + equity
Job Highlights Key Factors / Notes:
- Experience implementing systems is a must. Hands on with strong Linux, Python and Bash scripting.
- We’re not asking him/her/them to be an Architect here, but he/she/they should have experience as one from years prior.
- Someone who understands the difference between a good design and a bad one
- This is a proactive role, if he/she/they are doing a good job as an Engineer, he/she/they should spend less time doing incident response.
What You Own?
Design, implementation, and operation of security tools and instrumentation across the production (Linux) and enterprise (Windows/Mac) environments.
- Identification and analysis of technical security risks & mitigations
- Vulnerability monitoring and analysis
- Monitoring and response to security alerts and incidents
- Security design and implementation of security solutions (firewalls, secrets management, encryption, etc.) in our cloud and corporate environments.
- Participation in the development of policies and procedures to keep the enterprise secure.
- Serve as a subject matter expert working with the CISO as well as stakeholders such as Product and Software Engineering.
What You Have?
- 3+ years of experience as a security engineer
- Expertise in security instrumentation, detection, and response.
- Experience with configuration automation tools (e.g., Ansible, chef, puppet, etc.)
- Expertise in designing secure networks, systems, and application architectures
- Experience designing and securing cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud Platform experience a plus)
- Automating security testing tools
- Endpoint security solutions, including file integrity monitoring and data loss prevention
- Expertise in designing secure networks, systems, and application architectures
