About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Integration Specialist to join their engineering team. In this role, you will play a key part in implementing, maintaining, and optimizing software integrations between the company’s core platform and various third-party systems. You’ll act as the technical connector across platforms—ensuring seamless data flow and reliable functionality for both internal users and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and manage robust API integrations between internal systems and external applications
- Configure and deploy integration solutions using middleware, ETL tools, and custom development
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for integration workflows and processes
- Diagnose and resolve integration issues including data mapping errors and connectivity problems
- Partner with product, development, and customer success teams to gather requirements and deliver effective integration solutions
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and clients to implement and support integrations
- Monitor and optimize integration performance for scalability, speed, and reliability
- Assist in onboarding new clients by configuring and enabling integration setups
- Stay updated on the latest integration technologies, tools, and best practices
- Provide consultative support on the feasibility and scope of integration projects
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of experience in systems integration, API development, or similar technical roles
- Strong working knowledge of RESTful APIs, SOAP, webhooks, and standard integration protocols
- Experience with ETL processes, data transformation, and data mapping techniques
- Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java)
- Familiar with integration and iPaaS platforms such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Zapier, or similar
- Understanding of authentication protocols such as OAuth, SAML, and JWT
- Experience working with structured and unstructured data formats (e.g., JSON, XML, CSV)
- Familiarity with database fundamentals and query languages (e.g., SQL)
- Knowledge of web services and microservices architectures
Technical Skills
- End-to-end API development and integration
- Proficiency with integration tools and platforms (iPaaS)
- Data mapping and transformation workflows
- SQL database querying and scripting
- Experience with web services testing tools
- Version control using Git
- Solid grasp of ETL/ELT best practices
