Our Approach to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
"Bringing together uniqueness, embracing awesomeness: Let's DEI-light in our differences!"
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives are essential for businesses to thrive in today’s global marketplace. At Cambridge Resources Incorporated (“CRI”), we understand that supporting underrepresented groups is critical to creating a more diverse and inclusive workplace. We believe that diversity not only strengthens our team but also improves our decision-making, enhances creativity, and leads to a more innovative work environment.
At CRI, we recognize that the hiring process is a crucial opportunity to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. It is not enough to simply find diverse candidates; we must also ensure that our candidates have the opportunity to build a better workplace with a strong sense of community and belonging. That’s why we have implemented several strategies to include underrepresented groups in all aspects of our staffing processes.
We have set up partnerships with community organizations that help us to identify and recruit a diverse pool of candidates. We also engage with our employees through surveys and feedback sessions to ensure that we are attracting candidates from a broad range of backgrounds.
We have implemented training programs that help our employees identify and eliminate unconscious bias during the hiring process. This training ensures that all candidates are evaluated fairly and equitably.
We have also adopted several best practices to promote diversity in our hiring process. For example, we use job descriptions that emphasize our commitment to diversity and inclusion, and we require diverse candidate slates for each open position. We also use a structured interview process to ensure that all candidates are evaluated consistently and objectively.
Another imperative component to our diversity hiring approach is to recognize the importance of females in technology and to actively work towards increasing their representation in the field. Research has shown that diverse teams, including women, lead to better problem-solving and increased innovation. At CRI, we are committed to promoting gender diversity in our hiring process and creating a workplace where women can thrive and succeed in technology roles. We believe that by doing so, we will not only benefit our business but also contribute to creating a more equitable and inclusive society.
In addition to our hiring process, we have also established several employee resource groups (ERGs) that provide support and mentorship to underrepresented groups within our company. These groups help to foster a sense of community and belonging, and they provide opportunities for our employees to connect and learn from one another.
Furthermore, we have implemented training programs that help our employees identify and eliminate unconscious bias during the hiring process. This training ensures that all candidates are evaluated fairly and equitably.
In conclusion, at CRI, we understand that diversity, equity, and inclusion are not just buzzwords. They are values that we uphold and practice in our daily operations. By implementing best practices, establishing partnerships, and fostering a sense of community, we are committed to promoting diversity and inclusivity in all aspects of our business. We believe that by doing so, we will promote a more innovative, creative, and successful organization.
